We recommend that you do not feed your pet within two hours of coming to the salon, and walk your dog for toileting prior to arrival.
On arrival we will discuss your requirements and agree with you the service which covers your needs. We will also carry out a health assessment on your animal to ensure their suitability for the service.
Bath, Dry and Scissor Tidy
Dogs will be shampooed twice during their bath, thoroughly rinsed and conditioner applied if suitable. During drying, all the dead and loose hair will be removed. Ears will be cleaned, pads will be cleared of excess hair and nails will be clipped. The hygiene area, belly and chest may be clipped if appropriate. Face, feathers and skirts will be scissor tidied. Your pet will smell amazing with a spritz of cologne (if permitted)!

Puppy Academy
Pawdicure
Cat Grooming
We offer a wide range of options from nail trims to full luxury packages!
Whilst cats can spend a lot of time grooming themselves, it’s important that they have a professional groom regularly (particularly long-haired cats) to keep their coat, skin and nails in tip top shape. Even short hair cats need deshedding. Please ensure your cat is brought in a suitable carrier.
Full Groom
This is the most popular service. As above, dogs will be shampooed twice during their bath, thoroughly rinsed and conditioner applied if suitable. During drying, all the dead and loose hair will be removed. Ears will be cleaned, pads will be cleared of excess hair and nails will be clipped. The hygiene area, belly and chest may be clipped if appropriate. Your dog will then be styled to your specific requirements, be it a pet trim to suit your lifestyle or a breed standard trim.

EMMI-PET ULTRASONIC TEETH BRUSHING
The Emmi-pet teeth brushing system is non-invasive, effective and will benefit not only the dog’s teeth, but their health in general, as unhealthy teeth and gums will affect the dog’s whole body. It enables you to keep your dog’s teeth and gums healthy.
Ultrasound reaches deep below the gum line to kill germs and bacteria and cleans the teeth and gums to prevent the build up of plaque and tartar. At the same time it increases the blood flow to the gums to heal wounds and stop bleeding.
Effectively combats:
- Gingivitis and periodontitis
- Oral cavity diseases
- Plaque and tartar build up
- Bad breath
It is estimated that by the time they are 2 years old, 80% of dogs begin to show signs of oral disease.
The Emmi-pet toothbrush is vibration free and no brushing is necessary. Please note that this is not a replacement for visiting your vet. Liken it to you brushing your own teeth daily, but you still visit the dentist regularly. Same applies to your pets. This is a tool to help prevent dental problems.
ANIMAL REIKI
Animal Reiki is the offering of Reiki to animals but it involves more than just applying human Reiki knowledge and skills. Animals do not communicate with us in the same way as we converse with one another. They are often not truly understood and similarly they do not always understand our communications or actions. However, animals are inherently more ‘aware of’ and ‘understanding of’ energy. They have used it historically to determine if strangers are friend or foe and many naturally appear to be very accepting of this calm energy.
As with humans, Reiki may benefit animals with physical, mental or emotional issues and consequently this holistic complementary therapy may also be of help for animals with behavioural problems that have an emotional basis or influence.
Reiki is not a magical cure and is not an alternative to conventional veterinary care but it is a natural, calm therapy that promotes the body’s natural process of self-healing and is enjoyed by many animals.
Why offer Reiki to animals?
Animals suffer from physical illnesses and health conditions. At times, they sustain injuries or may require surgery. Aches and pains frequently emerge as they age. Mental health and emotional issues are common too and the latter often triggers behavioural problems.
Reiki is not a magical cure and is not an alternative to conventional veterinary care but it is a natural, calm therapy that promotes the body’s natural process of self-healing and is enjoyed by many animals.
Practical reasons for offering Reiki to animals:
It is non-invasive requiring nothing but a Reiki practitioner and her/ his hands
It may be given anywhere at any time – hands-on, hands-off or distantly in a vets practice, hospital, clinic, its ‘home’ environment or elsewhere
It requires no equipment or technology
There is no need to move or disrupt an animal. It can be given to them wherever they are
It complements and supports conventional veterinary care
The animal is in control at all times. Reiki cannot be forced upon an animal. They chose to take it for as long as they like and how they like
It is relaxing, so may help pre-treatment /post-op
Reiki always works for an animal’s highest good
Depending on the situation and the animal, one session may be all that is required or a number of sessions may be necessary. Every animal is a unique individual and so natural variances will apply.
